I love my slow-cookers! Yes, I have several. Slow-cooker meals allow me to feed my family better on busy days. Tonight, we had Crock Pot Beef Stroganoff for dinner. This morning, I put all the ingredients, except for the noodles, in my slow-cooker, set the timer, and dinner was practically done. It’s a good thing too because we were so busy today. If I had not started dinner this morning, we would have had sandwiches tonight. Here is how you can make it for your family.

First, place about 2 pounds of beef stew meat in your slow-cooker.
Add in two cans of Cream of Mushroom soup. I used the condensed soup so I also added two cans of water.
Add in one cup of chopped onion.
Pour in 2 tablespoons of Worcestershire sauce. Then, add in another 1/2 cup of water.
Add one cup of sour cream.
The recipe calls for 2 tablespoons of minced garlic but I used 2 tablespoons of garlic powder instead.
Stir in one packet of onion soup mix.
You can also add in chopped mushrooms but those are optional. I chose to leave those out.
Here is the complete recipe without pictures.
2 pounds cubed beef stew meat (You can substitute 4 cups cooked ground beef if you like.)
2 cans cream of mushroom soup
1 cup chopped onion
2 tablespoons Worcestershire sauce
1/2 cup water
1 cup sour cream
2 tablespoons minced garlic
1 packet of onion soup mix
chopped mushrooms (optional)
egg noodles (Serve the Beef Stroganoff over the cooked noodles.)
Place all ingredients, except for the noodles, into the crock pot (or other slow cooker). Cook on high for 6 – 8 hours. Serve over cooked egg noodles.
For a freezer meal, cook the meat and allow it to cool. Then, add all the ingredients, except for the noodles, into a freezer bag. Seal and freeze. Thaw overnight in a refrigerator before cooking. Since the meat is already cooked, you can cook on low for 4-6 hours. Then, serve over freshly cooked egg noodles.
Here is my final result and my family loved it!
