The God Established Home
At our church, we recently began a series called God Established. Tonight was a special night for women as our ministers’ wives led us in conversations about our roles in our God-Established homes. Last week was “Man Church” for men, but tonight was “Conversations” for women only. There were a few men there, including my husband, who ran the sound and lighting systems, but the worship service was especially for us ladies. Since we value equipping daughters for Godly womanhood, we were asked to bring our daughters along. Since my daughters are now 17 and 20, I was excited for them to attend this event with me. I’m so happy that I no longer need to leave my kids at home or secure a sitter so that I can attend a lady’s event at church. They are ladies now who can go with me. They are my adult daughters. They are now Godly women who will someday be Godly wives and they were just as eager to attend “Conversations” as I was. My husband and I have enjoyed the blessing of equipping one son for Godly manhood and now two daughters for Godly womanhood.

With my two daughters sitting right beside me, we talked about our insecurities as wives and mothers and about how we don’t always have it all together.
